This last month has been one of those “major growth” periods.
It all comes down to Jesus and what He did on the cross to reconcile a sinner like me. His love was deep enough to reach down all the way into my heart – all the way to the bottom – and save me. Titus 3 struck me today as a great summary:
3For(F) we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. 4But when(G) the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us,(H) not because of works done by us in righteousness, but(I) according to his own mercy, by(J) the washing of regeneration and(K) renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6whom he(L) poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that(M) being justified by his grace we might become(N) heirs(O) according to the hope of eternal life.
Sovereign Grace Music writes tremendous songs that encourage and remind us of the Gospel. They are cross-centered, Christ exalting wonderful songs – and one of my favs is “Jesus, Thank You”. Bob K once said that in Heaven we’ll probably be around the throne of Jesus singing this for hours – I personally cannot wait for that moment!
